FadeShield is a synthetic performance fabric created to handle indoor and outdoor upholstery for both residential and commercial areas. These fabrics are woven from a proprietary polyolefin fiber that has been specially developed to provide the utmost durability, resistance to abrasion, pilling, staining, mold/mildew, odor, and fading.

Polyolefin fabric has a distinguished scientific history, first manufactured in Italy in 1957. Giulio Natta, a talented chemist, was the first to formulate olefin fibers suitable for use in many textile applications, and he and his partner Karl Ziegler were awarded the Nobel Prize in 1963 for their development of a method of transforming polyolefins into fiber using titanium as a catalyst.

FadeShield performance fabrics feature solution-dyed synthetic fibers for higher color saturation, high abrasion resistance for increased toughness, water, mold and mildew resistance, UV resistance to prevent fading, stain resistance, and easy cleanability. They also do not transmit static charge.

Messes happen, but FadeShield is inherently stain resistant and features a stain-resistant coating for increased protection. FadeShield polyolefin is infused with antimicrobial silver ion technology and can withstand 5 years of UV fade resistance, at least five times more than regular polyolefin. It's solution-dyed to ensure each color is deeply ingrained in every fiber for continued vibrancy, even after heavy use.
